Markman Capital Insight LLC is a full-service investment research and advisory service focused on helping independent investors and traders reach their financial goals. Based in the Northwest but global in vision, our company provides unbiased, unvarnished and up-to-the-minute information, analysis and leadership on the equity and credit markets to thousands of customers worldwide.

MCI was founded by Jon Markman in 2002 to help self-directed individuals receive the sort of level-headed, no-nonsense guidance on their finances previously available only to institutions and high net worth individuals. We live and breathe the markets, and bring our passion for using disciplined, systematic, provably successful methods to our customers around the clock in any medium that they prefer, ranging from the web and email to conferences, television and personal visits.

Management

Markman directs MCI from our offices in downtown Seattle, Washington. Leveraging nearly three decades of experience and a vast array of contact throughout the global finance industry, he is the main author and editor of our three advisory services, Gemini252, Strategic Advantage and Trader's Advantage. A pioneer in the development of stock-rating systems and screening software, Markman is co-inventor on two Microsoft patents and author of the best-selling books .New Day Trader.s Advantage,. "Swing Trading" and "Online Investing." He was portfolio manager and senior investment strategist at a multi-strategy hedge fund from 2002 to 2005; managing editor and columnist at CNBC on MSN Money from 1997 to 2002 and an editor, investments columnist and investigative reporter at the Los Angeles Times from 1984 to 1997.

Markman won the Gerald Loeb Award for Distinguished Financial Journalism for his columns exposing investment business trickery in 2002; Society of Professional Journalists awards for his 2001 reporting on Enron and the post-Sept. 11-investment environment; and was a news editor on Los Angeles Times staffs that won Pulitzer Prizes for spot-news reporting in 1992 and 1994. A graduate of Duke University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, he speaks frequently on investment topics at conferences nationwide as well as on TV and radio.
